Become an Assembler! We are looking for a Behavioral Health Medical Records Specialist to join Assembly Health. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Payer Relations Manager.

What you'll do

  • Efficiently navigate and manage clients' medical charts using advanced EMR/EHR software.
  • Conduct rigorous reviews of medical charts to ensure strict compliance with audit standards.
  • Identify and articulate essential components within client charts with precision and accuracy.
  • Professionally engage with clients, provide support by requesting missing information from the medical record as needed.
  • Proactively contribute innovative ideas for departmental enhancements, demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, particularly in meeting medical necessity with records.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of Behavioral Health levels of care and services, with a willingness for ongoing professional development.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned, demonstrating diligence and meticulous attention to detail.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of one year experience in medical or a health-related field.  
  • Proficiency in ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT, medical/behavioral health terminology, and Levels of Care.
  • Knowledge of Kipu, Zen Charts (recently bought out by Lighting Step), Sunwave, Alleva, Ritten, Kareo, Bestnotes, or Therapy Notes is a plus.
  • Adherence to strict confidentiality standards to safeguard patient care information and protect patient rights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, showcasing a solid command of Microsoft Office applications, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other technologies
  • Multi-departmental collaboration. Implementation of best practices for accurate medical records.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records maintenance.
  • Keen Attention to Detail, Dependable, accountable, quick learner
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times.
