Our Business Intelligence Engineer should have extensive experience within Power BI, Snowflake, Excel, a proven track record in building semantic models, connecting data to Power BI, and developing insightful dashboards.

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Analytics.

• Design, develop, and maintain robust semantic models to support business intelligence initiatives.
• Connect and integrate data from various sources, including Snowflake, into Power BI.
• Create, optimize, and manage interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights by utilizing semantic models and creating measures with DAX.
• Tailor dashboards for desktops, tablet, and mobile interfaces ensuring data accuracy and a positive end-user experience.
• Collaborate with data engineering team to develop and implement data models, ETL processes, and data integration workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide training and support to end-users, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security across all BI solutions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Implement best practices for data governance and management.
• Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits.
• Stay up to date with the latest BI technologies and trends.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing BI solutions and processes.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of new BI tools and technologies.
• Ownership of other tasks and projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Snowflake, Excel, DAX, and SQL
• Strong experience in building and managing semantic models.
• Demonstrated ability to connect and integrate data from various sources into Power BI.
• Expertise in creating and optimizing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage critical deadlines with a self-motivated attitude and ability to multi-task.
• Must be resourceful, persistent, and an excellent problem solver
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times.
