Become an Assembler! We are looking for a Behavioral Health Billing Specialist to join Assembly Health. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director of Billing.

• Resolve behavioral health billing issues.
• Audit and correct all claims in proper formatting.
• Review EOB’s.
• Payment posting and data entry as needed and required.
• Research and resolve payment and adjustment discrepancies.
• Submit claims’ reconsiderations and appeals.
• Research payer policies
• Resolve patient queries and verify insurance coverage.
• Other tasks as needed.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in medical billing or related field required.  
• One year of Behavioral Health experience required including EMR/EHR knowledge (Kipu, BestNotes, highly preferred).
• Experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Ability to manage critical deadlines and keen attention to detail.
• Escalate any discrepancies to management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be resourceful, persistent and possess excellent problem resolution skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times.
